Our Story

The birth

The birth of Socré Wine Cellar occurred in 1871, when today’s owner’s great-grandfather Giovanni l’Alessandrino bought the land.

Second generation

Since 1990 Rosella and Marco Piacentino have been enlarging the business by planting new vines in the original vineyards in Barbaresco and bought other vineyards in Cisterna d’Asti (Barbera, Croatina, Cabernet and Merlot), as husband and wife are from both the Alba area and the Asti area.

Young forces in the business

The new millennium brought the young and essential collaborator Ermando Chiesa, which opened up new projects for the business, such as the purchase of other vineyards in Alba and a large modern one in Neviglie - both close to the heart of the business in Barbaresco.
