Gambero Rosso – 2017 Review

award

« […] The growth path both in terms of quality and interest, also gained with important prizes and reviews from international critics, has been constant. The flagship of the company is the Roncaglie Barbaresco, which is released after a long aging in the winery, but the whole production is properly looked after.

A slightly modern personality in the 2012 Roncaglie Barbaresco, with a hint of oak which give complexity to a fruity taste. Great and rich taste in mouth, harmonic, with an extremely long and elegant finish.

Evident spices, but also fruit in the 2013 Barbaresco; the taste is less voluminous, but still harmonic and structured.»

Vinibuoni d’Italia – 2017 Review

award

The center and hart of the winery are the vineyards in Barbaresco, about three hectares situated below the Socré cascina, on medium height hills, with a splendid panoramic position and a great south and west exposure, in Roncaglie cru.

From these vineyards is generated the 2012 Barbaresco Roncaglie which get the coveted Crown. It charms with scents of hazelnut wafer, orange peel and light quinine. Good body with fruity final and tannin still in evolution. A modern wine that doesn’t forget tradition.

Very good also the straight Barbaresco 2013, pleasant to drink, tasty and structured.

Vinous – 2012 Barbaresco – 92/100

award

«The 2012 Barbaresco is dark, plummy and absolutely delicious, with plenty of up-front fruit and pure appeal. Sweet tobacco, rose petal, mint, cherries and licorice open up in the glass. The tannins retain a touch of firmness, but otherwise, this is a hugely appealing Barbaresco, especially considering it is the estate’s entry-level wine.» Barbaresco Roncaglie 2012. Score: 92/100.

Gambero Rosso – 2012 Barbaresco – 🍷🍷

award

«It does not play much on elegance, but rather on the facets the aromatic range of the well managed Barbaresco 2012, with notes ranging from fur to currants. Good tannins, set in a rich body of flesh and structure. Powerful and rich in fruits blacks Barbera d’Alba Superiore 2013, enriched with hints of wet earth and medical herbs that increase its personality. Finally we report the first release of a Riserva of Barbaresco Roncaglie, 2010 vintage, proposed in very small amount.»
